Times Of My Life

Chicken in a Basket

Down in Burntisland today, looking after the Bandits as the schools are on holiday for a fortnight.

It was bright and sunny, so we wrapped up against the cold and headed down to the park for a bit. Great hilarity was had when the two of them decided they would run down the wee hill in the park at great speed. My heart was in my mouth, imagining broken limbs!

When the excitement of that wore off, we made for the swings, where Arlo quickly made friends with another boy, and shot off to do boy stuff. Ida clambered into the basket swing, and instructed me to push her "very very high Granny"!

I hadn't realised how cold it was, so we only stayed about half an hour before going to buy some nice hot sausage rolls from Stewart's in the High Street. We hurried home to eat them with mugs of hot chocolate to heat our hands up.

Perfect day.
