Our trip to Newcastle was short but sweet. A lazy Sunday morning in our hotel room followed by a trip out to Throckley to have Sunday lunch with lovely pal and his ever so nice mum & dad.

Just up the road from their house is this substantial chunk of Hadrian's Wall. It was a glorious warm autumn morning and the girls whinged a bit about being made to use their legs but soon chirped up at the sight of something to climb on AND ponies :)

Here's the little one walking on actual old Roman stone... Without falling off.
