Birthday boy at 16

Oh wow, how fast they grow up! Once my precious, funny little boy I cradled in my arms, now a towering & charming young man.

We had a fairly quiet family celebration with my cousins visiting from the US. Headed into Kettwig for lunch, then onto Düsseldorf for happy hour. Since my son hates anything with carbonation, he wasn't interested in sampling any of the beer with us. But he enjoyed the layered ice cream, cookies & candy cake I made him :)
