Large and small.

Both are a part of a vacuum installation but the size is a bit different.
In the foreground a pump wit attached motor which is used to keep the level of the seawater in the waterboxes of the condenser as high as possible, thus maintaining the flow of the sea-coolingwater to be as smooth as possible.
In this way the main pump doesn't have to "work so hard".
The big electric motor in the background is a part of the main vacuumpump which maintains a vacuum at the steamside of the condenser. In this way the steam condenses to water again at a low temperature.
