Inside the boiler of unit EC 6.
Actually it's a huge heat exchanger. The water and the steam flow through the pipes (so-called serrated fin tubes) and is heated by the exhaust gasses of the gasturbine.
I'm now in the space above the bundles of the HP superheater where the steam in the pipes is superheated to 540 deg C.
Actually I'm standing on the pipes.
Above me there are plenty more bundles of pipes, all of them are put together to bundles of superheaters, evaporators, and economisers.
The temperature goes from about 600 deg where I'm standing to 100 deg at the outlet of the boiler.
