Norse tale

Had a great day today, caught the Keswick Launch and disembarked at Hawes End and started the ascent by immediately losing our way and stumbling through a sphagnum moss wet patch but eventually found the correct path and got started.

CP had problems just below the summit and she returned with Doreen, one of our Edinburgh friends and they eventually arrived back at Keswick just before Dave and I.

Dave and I cleared the summit and after a light lunch descended following a southerly track which brought us down to the beginning of Derwent Water where we walked up to the Lodore landing place where this beautiful replica of Viking long boat was moored.
