Walking treasures

There's a pair of these stone alcoves in Victoria Park: they originally adorned London Bridge; were saved when the Bridge was taken down and installed here in the 1920s. The afternoon sun shines into them, making them a welcome spot to read the papers on an autumn afternoon.

Paul's mum came over for lunch today and we opened some of the rose wine we brought back from Provence. That was the end of our afternoon: P is snoozing even as I type...
