When a puppy becomes a baby

Ok, I'll admit it, I treat this puppy like I would treat a newborn. He loves being held and also he loves sleeping on you while simultaneously keeping your legs warm. He already responds to his name.
Unfortunately, the first night we had him must have been a fluke. He had slept through the night and didn't wake up until 8 a.m. Last night, no such luck. He whimpered until 2 a.m. at which time I thought I better make sure he didn't have to go out again.
Of course it had to be raining. So I slipped on my boots and raincoat over my pajamas and he peed. Yay! I thought this would solve the problem for sure. Nope it seems he just wants to be with us instead of staying in his crate. I don't mind telling you I have made the crate very comfortable. I would sleep in it!!! Pillow, soft blanket, something to bite on, something to cuddle with.
His favorite position is the one I blipped today. Being cradled in the bend of your arm.
I promise I won't just Blip Dillon from now on. This weekend we are a bit consumed with him right now.
