Oh that hair!

Knitting and Stitching Show, Alexandra Palace, London

Our youngest daughter and I have been attending this show for a few years and now that she lives close by, it makes it even easier for us to visit, as we can ‘go home’ for lunch. And today we were joined by our eldest daughter and our granddaughter - coming straight from an ice skating lesson next door. A fine girls’ day out.


A surprise!

During the day there was a Fashion Show and we were fortunate enough to get some front row seats. Nice to sit down after a day wandering round exhibitions and stalls. Watching the display of knitted garments was mesmerising for an eight year old, particularly as some of the models wore the most extraordinary shoes!

Then at the end some fabrics were modelled – garments made from designer fabrics. That designer was Zandra Rhodes and to the surprise of us all . . . out stepped Zandra herself. A legend in the fashion world actually there in front of us, she had to be the blip
