Lunch with the Queen

Today we had lunch with the Queen.
Well, to be absolutely honest, not actually in person, but her presence was much in evidence.

We were back in Perth with His Lordship's brother and sister -in-law to pick over the bones of their 60th wedding anniversary bash a fortnight ago and see the photos, and there she was, as large as life and twice as bold, sitting comfortably beside all the other congratulatory cards on the coffee table.
It seems one qualifies for a card from Elizabeth R on the occasion of a diamond wedding, but only if you have someone who knows how to apply.

HL and I have no expectation of receiving any such card from Buckingham Palace; we will consider ourselves lucky to live long enough to celebrate our silver wedding.
