Changing Times

When I was at school. we had to use proper English, but now I hear Scots is being encouraged and taught.
I was out for coffee with a friend this morning and we purchased some children's books in the Puffin Pool Charity shop. I had to have this one 'Katie's Coo, Scots Rhymes for wee Folk' Illustrated by Karen Sutherland. This is the song I have sung to my children and now my grandchildren.
My husband has laughed his way through the whole book reading it aloud and assures me that my son in law Goateebooknerd will not understand a word of it. I have more faith!
