Foyers falls
The spectacular falls were harnessed in the 1890's to provide the first commercial power generation in Scotland and again in the 1960's for increased electricity supply.
Visual perceptiononists visit to experience the 'Foyers effect', a phenomenon that involves staring at the falling water for a few minutes, then transferring gaze to the rockface that then appears to move in two different directions!!!!
It was a lovely sunny day and they looked good. The debris shows the height the water had been on Tuesday.
