Oakly Dokely

This is one of the oak trees on our property. The colours are striking, though not shown to their best as the sun was virtually gone when I got around to taking this photo. (Why do I so often leave my daily photo until it's late? That wasn't too bad when it was summer. But now the days are shorter it's becoming more difficult.)

No 1 son arrived today. He's the only one of our kids able to make it for Thanksgiving weekend. I'm pleased to see him and not because he's a help around the place! As rain is forecast for the weekend we will be hooking up the rain barrels I got today. It sounds like an easy job.
