One year on

We didn't plan to do anything in particular to mark the anniversary of losing Dad but the day was not as awful as expected. I arrived at mums and we had a cuddle and talked a bit then Rita popped round with a candle and we had good chats, seeing her was a good tonic.
Mum felt inspired to go out and we went down to Clacton for lunch and a brief attempt at walking but the winds were too strong as demonstrated by these gulls caught in the gale!

This day last year is so vivid and clear, I left the hospital at 830pm and firmly believed there would be a bit more time the next day but Dad slipped away peacefully less than 90 minutes later.
