Enjoying the sunshine

It was a dark and grey for most of today. My plans for a quiet day, "doing nothing", fell foul of a few things that needed to be done. Perhaps tomorrow.

After the rain, the sun appeared and I went for a short walk around the village. I met a couple from down under who had just walked the Coast to Coast and are about to do 4 days on Hadrian's Wall Trail. They were interested in returning next year and joining the Walking Festival.

The rain left everything looking fresh and I photographed quite a few trees and plants. Then I saw these 3, sunning themselves on a fence post. I like the patterns and the intricate wings, so here they are.
