An Edinburgh quickie...
I woke up at 2am after thinking I'd post my blip before I went to to sleep but just had a cold cup of tea sitting at the side of me and a stiff neck to show for my pathetic effort!
Oh well. I wandered to the Shore today without getting lost before meeting Ann, Baxter and John in The Blind Poet at 1pm.
The chap on the bench is Sandy Irvine Robertson who was a wine merchant and charity promoter. He wasn't very talkative and didn't polish the bench before I sat down in a grand, chivalrous gesture like someone else I know and he wasn't ruggedly handsome either. I guess he was just the strong silent type. Anyway, I didn't stay long before I had to head off to meet the others.
I was just killing time on the main road when Ann and Baxter got off a bus that pulled in right next to me and then we trundled to the Blind Poet to meet John. It was wonderful to see them again and we had a lovely afternoon and evening calling into Ushers and finally the Southern Bar where I had the nicest burger I'd ever had!
I finally got home to A Haven at half eleven. I'd written about half of this before I nodded off!
It looks like another beautiful day here. I have been very lucky again. A day in the fresh air beckons me..
