October Word Challenge Day 8: Filthy

At last the storm has passed and Orkney is still again - The only obvious sign of the gales being the lawn covered a foot deep in leaves.

The day brightened and by lunchtime I set out on foot with the doggy idiots as the car is still in surgery. We climbed the hill and as we had had so much rain the path was more water than the usual mud. This meant the dogs didn't get quite as dirty as usual although they did manage to find some.

My Love is now back from being a plumber and is about to give me a lift into work. Day 3 already!
