Babies

It was really funny today watching the guinea fowl who were absolutely fascinated by the chicks. Mother hen was leading the babies out for a walk and the guinea fowl were following up behind - acting like spinster aunts.

They were most concerned that mother might not be doing things properly and seemed to think it was their role to oversee. Initially I was concerned for the chicks, not sure what the guinea's were about, but once I realised they were totally safe with them I really enjoyed watching them fluff and bother. Especially when the hen wasn't in the least concerned about her children.
