SAVING THINGS
It was a day for rescuing things; first the clothes that had been lurking unworn at the back of my wardrobe were given a new lease of life in the charity shop, then our spare bedroom was finally rescued from beneath a pile of junk. Mid morning I saved someone from a wee bit of sadness. In the afternoon it was the turn of the ladybird that was determined to be pressure washed off the deck and the family of field mice that we had to gently evict from a compost bin as it was emptied. And all through it the lovely autumn mist, sunshine and gentleness of the day.
In the evening I spoiled it all by getting hopping mad at a financial transaction that went all wrong- until I was rescued by the Prof at the end of the phone. He reminded me gently that none of that stuff really matters. I give you the Prof - Rescuer in Chief.
