Evening orchid

Today has been a bit of a mad dash around in gale force winds. My beautiful fiancée zoomed off to work and I took the woofers up the hill. The wind was so strong that coming back down the hill required a great deal more effort than going up...
I dropped the dogs off at home and then headed for Stromness where I spent a couple of hours stripping down taps, cleaning them, changing washers and sticking them all back together again. Then to another bathroom where I spent ages removing old silicone sealant in preparation for re-sealing it. Then on to another tap which needed to be stripped and cleaned.
Finished for the day I headed home and HV and I jumped in the car to collect some stuff from town. Unfortunately the car wasn't playing ball and the clutch gave up the ghost on the way in to town. We sat around in the car waiting for the recovery truck to come. Harumph! Stuff will be collected tomorrow instead whilst the car is in hospital.
A bit of a lack of inspiration on the October word challenge, but I like these orchids HV got the other day. Extra lighting was provided by my beautiful assistant holding her phone over the flowers.
