...to entertain two 4 year olds in their third hour in a dance studio after their filming is done. The head girl's bag of cotton wool balls of course.

She had a busy day today! We had to do exam hair this morning before school as she had dancing tonight (more about that later). Headed to school well laden as today was her first harvest festival. She was proud to take home grown apples from my aunts garden as part of her offerings. They all individually presented their bags as part of the school assembly. They had a harvest buffet for lunch, which she really enjoyed. Today was the first time in her short school career that they had a "wet playtime". The bane of teachers existences when I was a child appears to have softened slightly. Gone are the terrible dot to dot sheets, puzzles and occasional watch with mother. In are the iPads and Cbeebies. This afternoon she aced her school-starters sight test.

I picked her up in the car today as we had to get to ballet for special classes. The BBC have picked up the story from the summer breakfast show piece and are making a one hour documentary about her ballet school. They did the filming of the students today. The girls (and two boys) looked beautiful and were so good the long times they had to wait. They danced gorgeously I am told. Very proud of our wee dance school today. Katie then got to come and watch mamas ballet class. She was very sweet, grinning away as I danced.
