Photo competition

Busy day today! We spent a while making birthday presents for her aunt and cousin, lots of sewing, gluing, cutting, sticking. Mummy had an outdoor photo session in the woods first thing, so Katie came too. She decided to bring her camera as there is a school photograph competition and she wanted to enter. She took photos of the plains and then of me taking photos of the family! She had fun playing with their little girl, encouraging her for the photos in the hideyholes and branches. We popped home briefly before I took her to my sisters for a bit of a play and a cup of tea.

We headed back home, finding a miracle space in the town centre on one of the busiest days in our town centre - for the Town's Food Festival, Literature Festival and Beer Festival. We had fun at the Food Festival wandering round the free samples. We bought some very delicious soups and a muffin, before Katie asked to wander round again. We always bump into lots of friends at these events.

We went back home and she helped me make fish pie, which she then ate a tonne of. Even at nearly 5years old, and despite being a bit determined about her having homemade/chemical-free food, I still do love seeing her eat something we have cooked together from scratch!
