Stopped at St Marks church on the way home. Lots of birds chuntering around two trees near the church, covered in ivy - I could see blackbirds, chaffinches and nuthatches, and heard a jay. My guess is that somewhere in the ivy was a discovered tawny owl, who was being mobbed. But he or she sat tight, so I couldn't see the object of the smaller birds ire.
