What a glorious thing is a mature beech tree dressed in all its autumn colours.

This one is on the side of the River Kent at the southern end of Kendal. It's close to the Nether Bridge - a three arched structure made up of essentially three bridges, replacing an old ford that can still be seen to its North ..................
