Descent from Ben Macdui

After camping for 3 days at Loch Etchachan we ascended Ben Macdui on the way back to our car. The summit was in thick cloud (30 feet visibility) but after some excellent navigation by Kathy we came out of the cloud at 750m onto the ridge path between Cairn Lochan and Lurcher's gully.

The contrast between the flat bottomed summit cloud and the sunny valley was striking. We were also lucky enough to have a moment of solitude on the path from the Saturday crowds.
