Dawn
I was on land for sunrise today and very nice it was too.
But a sunrise is often a portent of a weather change and so it was today. We started out calm and cool rather than cold, with nor'westerly conditions aloft.
Fishing wise it was completely different to yesterday. Yesterday we caught a lot of small or skinny fish, still spent after spawning. Today we put back many good conditioned fish and fewer little or skinny fish.
That's one of the things I love about fishing. You never work out fish. As soon as you think you understand something about them, the opposite happens.
The nor'wester started around 11 and it was pretty choppy when we came off the water at noon for lunch and clean up. I cleaned and gutted 7 fish while the boys organised lunch. (2 were mine, another Rainbow and a nice sized salmon).
Then it was home via Triwzel to put the boat back in it's shed.
The little fur child had a lot to say when I arrived home. Because I was home too late for pick up time, he'd been picked up from the Cat Hotel by the fisher-hunter.
It's hard to say who was the most unimpressed ;-)
