Wave watching

This morning it was a bit grey and a bit blustery and a bit dampish. I wandered up the hill with the woofers, returning home to prepare a stew for dinner. Other household chores were completed as my beautiful fiancée and I discussed where we would take the dogs for the afternoon wander. The uninspiring weather didn't help.
HV went for a bit of a paddle about in her new kayak, and as we had lunch a bit later we watched the weather start to improve. We headed to Birsay - a fine bit of coastline on the north west corner of the mainland.
What a great choice. The waves were huge and the sun came out. It was a lovely walk. Another great day in Orkney.
I got a bit carried away shooting waves and this one was a little squinty so I have straightened it...
