Panaghia

Another day that was like with an unexpected gift!
Early morning a friend of old times phoned me and told me to be ready in half an hour so he could take me out to the village Kandanos in the mountains where several tiny old churches are from 13th and 14th Century with Byzantine freso's on the walls.... we marvelled the treasures like we found pots of gold!

the churches are pretty dark indoors and my friend lid his led lamp to check the finds a little closer... no flash used and this is one of the fresco's found Mother Mary with her Son - Panaghia
