Feeding ducks

...is a serious business. I asked this little boy's dad if I could take a picture of him feeding the ducks - there were dozens of them making a bee-line for the pair, as soon as they arrived on the green. The ducks had ignored me, suggesting to me that they recognise the regulars by sight! The little boy alternated between jubilation when feeding the ducks and seriousness when focussing on taking another handful from his dad's supply.

Mum is back home in her apartment and in remarkably good spirits, despite her sore mouth - no hot drinks or food, alcohol, spices or acidic stuff for a while. Hence my little detour to the village green on my expedition to buy edibles for Mum from the local store.
