Shop Local

Today is Friday so that means a visit to our local greengrocers shop.

This wonderful shop has been run by three generations of the same family and thank goodness its still going strong despite 5 supermarkets in the town.

Autumn is the time to try British Apples from an orchard in Cheshire. This is something I look forward too each year, all lovely varieties you wouldn't see in a supermarket. I don't eat many apples at other times of the year.

I also bought a purple stripey Aubergine and a knobbly yellow squash which weren't on my list but I couldn't resist them.

They also sell some beautiful fresh fish and Mum likes fish on Friday.

Its my sort of shop.
