Gabriel Guy

My cousin Gabe is truly one of a kind. He is a kid who listens to his heart regardless of what others tell him. This is a photo of Gabe just being himself. Gabe is obsessed with baseball. Gabe says the Phillie Fanatic is his favorite player. Gabe loves to pretend. Whenever he comes over, he runs to my room and grabs a big pillow. He tells me this pillow is “his sack” and he filled it with food for a long journey. What kind of food? Gabe always says, “I have 20 pounds of fish, 20 pounds of beans, 20 pounds of water, and tacos!” Where he comes up with these ideas is beyond me, but spending time with him definitely brightens up my day. Every time we go to a Phillies game, Gabe loves to eat Chickie and Pete’s “crab fries.” According to Gabe however, the term “crab fries” is incorrect. He insists upon calling them “yummies.” This 5 year old continually amazes me with his random statements and creative mind. When I ask Gabe what he wants to be when he grows up, he answers, “an astronaut, an astronomer, a pilot, and the Philly Fanatic.” Gabe is truly one of a kind and I love spending time with him.
