One for me...

one for the basket, one for Flossie.. that is how it goes usually!! She sits there looking up eagerly waiting her turn. If the bush is a particularly good one with delicious berries more get into the basket.. (seems fair!).

The blackberries this year seem to be going on and on.. but I expect this cool damp weather we are due to get this weekend will soon ruin them. I heard that there are something like 350 different varieties of blackberry varieties (in the wild).. that is what explains some tasting watery and wet and other being juicy and sharp so remember where you picked the best ones and go back next year.. the same plant will produce more tasty berries next year!!

Looking forward to the apple and blackberry crumble this weekend.. at last it will be cool enough to want it!!
