Final Move

This photo sums up most of our day today, our last in Seattle. The final move of our daughter's worldly possessions (and a couple of tubs of our own) from her apartment in Long Beach to her brother's home in Seattle. The U-Haul pod had arrived on schedule and we rented the cargo van without a hitch (pun intended). Of course, there had to be one last issue, apparently we were supposed to call 24 hours in advance of unloading and our pod was not yet available. The U-Haul center was understaffed and overwhelmed with end of the month movers, so we had to cool our heels for an hour or so before we could transfer the goods from the pod to the truck to the house. All was accomplished in the end and we were able to celebrate the completion of our mission with our son and his wife before flying out tomorrow afternoon.
