Wildlife
We depart our vacation home on Hood Canal today for points east. We will miss views like this, miss watching the varied wildlife through the powerful binoculars, and miss our friends with whom we have enjoyed wonderful times the past five days. I really wanted to showcase the wildlife we were able to see from our deck, but the conditions never cooperated. When the weather was good, the tide was in and the wildlife mostly gone. When the wildlife was around, the weather was not as conducive to photography. At the end of our stay, this is what I have to remind us of what we were able to see each morning. There are a dozen bald eagles and too many seals to count in this shot (view it in large to see for yourself). Missing is the herd of elk who visited each afternoon. Spectacular place for those with long lenses.
