FEATURED

Someone over 100 years ago had the idea to train the Yew tee into an elegant shape. When it rains it provides a functional umbrella for those bowlers who have the good fortune to play on a rink in the middle of the Bowling Green.
The shape is maintained by volunteers from club members, unusually these days neither insured nor wearing hard hats, who clamber up shaky ladders to effect the short back and sides.
