I did go to the Cultural Centre (I wish they'd come up with another name) in Katoomba to check out a couple of exhibitions.
Adjacent to the exhibitions, in the same building, is a permanent high tech exhibition highlighting the history and beauty of the Blue Mountains, a world heritage listed site.
I really love the map of the Sydney Basin which covers the floor.
