Half & Half

For most of the fortnight we were away, Julia, who is a retired nurse and piano teacher had a thing about my eyebrows, and wanted to pluck them! She'd been a good sport, putting up with my pranks, teasing and jokes and on the last night she was particularly forceful.

So with some honey pads that she used to sell, she came back to our place and used them to do what she thought would make them look even better. She noticed a small mole on my left eye lid which has been there years. There was some hilarity between her and my wife as she yanked away and made my eyes water.

This was Saturday night and on waking this morning I noticed half my eyelid is a dark colour as though it's bruised. I can't think of any other reason for it, and will think carefully before I have any more beauty treatment! I hope it goes away quickly.

Not having got a photo, I went out just before sunset and drove to the top of Ochrwyth mountain, Lower Machen, and waited for a nice red sunset which didn't really materialise. On the M4 last night I saw a beautiful blood red sunset but couldn't stop. The blip photo shows a half red sunset and a half moon. Sort of half and half sunset and half moon.

Bit like my one eye lid that is half red!
