19th. CENTURY CRAFTSMANSHIP
This is the underside of a set of late 19th. century machine heads on a gem of a Viennese guitar I'm currently restoring. Having treated them to a little grease - they work to perfection.
They are hand made with love & pride. The underside has been tinned to avoid a build up of verdigris - you can see it trying to take hold around some of the screw holes.
Am taking a can of "Silvo" to work tomorrow - then with a bit of luck you'll see the other side!!
