Autumn colour
I love the messy shapes and colours in the blocks of scrub at the reserve in early autumn. This wonderful combination usually marks the start of autumn - Black Bryony, with its yellow heart-shaped leaves and vivid red berries, climbing up a Guelder Rose (Viburnum opulus) that is just reaching that amazing deep purple/red colour that few other shrubs can out-do. All I need now is some rain, before our fungus foray at the weekend!
