Not another moth!
Sorry about featuring yet another moth, but today has been quite a turbulant one family-wise, with no chances to outings in the countryside or even the garden. The moth trap this morning had quite a nice range of species, but nothing new for my garden list. This Beautiful Hook-tip had to be my favourite, although I trapped it a few times earlier in the year. On a more disconcerting note, I've discovered a cheeky little wren that is now very wise to my mothing activities. I've seen it flying into the shed where I unpack the trap and leave moths in a sheltered, safe (!) place through the day - that's why I've been noticing more moth wings on the shed floor! I need to tackle this new threat.
