Pincushion

Another grey and rainy day, and I really did not feel like braving the elements. Thus: an indoor blip.

A friend is helping to raise funds for the local old-age home, and I bought a beautiful bunch of proteas from her. It now sits on the dining table and brightens up my day whenever I walk past.

Pincushion are a member of the protea family. A pincushion bush in full flower - they are relatively common on the nearby mountain slopes - is a glorious sight.
