Common slugeater
They're completely harmless. In fact, they are quite beneficial: as their common name implies, they feed on slugs and snails. Anything that keeps the snail population under control in my garden is more than welcome to stay.
Giada the green-eyed cat regards them as toys. I'm the spoil-sport, of course, since I confiscate "her" toys to put them back where they belong.
