On The Turn

I went to Wetherby this morning - nipped into the bank and then headed down to The Ings.

The Ings are (were) water meadows and a flood plain for the river Wharfe. The main part is used as a sports field, hosting football and rugby league teams. However the area does flood sometimes after heavy rain and the river bursts its banks. The pitches then become unplayable.

The trees are just beginning to turn colour - I quite liked the way the tree on the rights has a few branches that are well on the way and others are still green!

I managed to balance the brightness of the sky and the water using graduated filters in post processing - I didn't have my actual grad filters with me today
