The GOG's Anniversary

Today was a special day in that it was a year, a Sunday, although it was the 29 September, when the GOG was very poorly in hospital, having major surgery and with a very low survival rate. This event had to be marked as a special occasion and treated as such with lunch with the family at the China Garden restaurant in Great Dunmow. As is quite usual at these events, the food had all been eaten and my purse was on the table ready to pay, before I took a photograph with everyone in it. After the meal we went to our daughter’s home, not for birthday cake, but for coffee and fruit cake.
