Final destination
For today anyway. This was very nearly the picture I took for Carlos of the teeny, tiny little propellor plane that brought me over the border from Toronto. I appear to have become a somewhat nervous solo traveller. I think because, in the words of the the great Claire Dunphy of Modern Family, I have more to lose these days. Mostly I rationalise myself out of it and get stuck into a film or a book and it took an extra special effort with the creaky taking off noises of the mini plane. Anyway, turns out this plane was not my final destination on earth and so here I am now sitting in a cab heading to my hotel where I can sleep and sleep and sleep. Well perhaps not that much as it would be a shame to travel so far and miss the work. Plus they may then choose not to pay me which would be bad.
What else happened in my bonus long day (the time difference having gifted me an extra 5 hours and at least one extra meal)...this morning whilst the boys were at football and after I had packed Anna and I headed out to find our first geocache. Sadly we failed so we will have to return and try harder. Or she will have solved it before I get back, which I left her with as her distracting mission. It was very hard to leave them all again so soon after my last trip. But now I'm here hopefully the time will fly by for all of us and soon and I will be back and grounded for at least a month.
Oh, and in case there's any confusion - I won't have chance to visit the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, in fact I am busy being driven right out of Cleveland to Akron. So actually my title is probably all wrong. But it is close enough and will have to do. Perhaps I may be able to show you the joys of Akron tomorrow...
