Hong Kong Protests

It is absolutely shocking to see what is unfolding here in Hong Kong.

I totally support the Occupy Central movement as they are standing up for democracy, but it's been sad to see the police's response to the peaceful demonstrations. They've been firing rubber bullets and spraying tear gas and it's just so hard to imagine that this is happening in our very peaceful Hong Kong!!!

It certainly brought Hong Kong to a standstill. We feel a bit disconnected from it all here in Discovery Bay and I haven't even left Lantau today. Hence the picture from CNN! Ben was out in town and I was extremely concerned for him and his buddies.

I hope and pray that these demonstrations will not have been in vain and Beijing hears Hong Kong's voice!
