A Day Worth Recording

Who knows where this leads?

1000 and gapless. That's only slightly less incredible than the telephone wiring in this place.

Spent quite a lot of today discerning what on Earth has been done with the telephone wiring here. It turns out that what 'had to be' the extensions wired from the Master socket was actually the live cable into the master - and that all the extensions are wired on the wrong side of the master!

Much careful disconnection and I'm a lot more confident plugging things into it.

I've still three telephone cables that go... I know not where!

So, 1000 blips. No idea how that happened. It doesn't seem that long ago I was mulling whether to continue beyond the 500.

In other news, Rod the Roofer is here again.

The job was to fix one joist in the garage. Until we found that both ends were rotten, as was the wood below them. More interestingly the bricks you'd expect below that were, how shall we say, absent.

Then we find the largish hole in the roof, and finally notice that the entire end of the roof is held up by one small rock wedged into the wall.

Suspect I'll still be reporting roofing repairs on blip 2000.
