Looks Good To Me

No Connection

Cynthia and I don't consider shopping to be a recreational activity, and we almost never go to a mall, but today we went to the Lloyd Center in Portland. Why, you're wondering. Cynthia had bought clothing online that she wanted to return, and was able to do it at the mall without paying shipping costs.

Lloyd Center is quite an unusual mall, featuring an ice skating rink on the ground floor where Tonya Harding, a past Olympic champion, trained. When it opened in 1960, as an open-air shopping center, it claimed to be the largest shopping center in the US.

But enough about shopping! The thing I will remember most about the Lloyd Center is the scarcity of restrooms, and how cleverly the few that existed were hidden.

We had a very full and enjoyable day and if you'd like to know more about it, you'll have to read C's blip. It's late, and I've been stubbornly trying to figure out why my camera flash wouldn't fire tonight. It was because I was using the electronic shutter setting (to eliminate the noise of the mechanical shutter).
