Footloose and Fancy-Free

Just for a few hours! Cynthia was off on a blip meet with Musings, so I wandered around the NW part of town, starting at the Lucky Labrador brewpub -- not worth the trouble of getting there.

My meanderings involved several bus and streetcar trips, and a fair amount of walking. I found a very interesting assortment of food carts on a vacant lot between two buildings. I had a hard time choosing from Indian, Mexican, Korean, Vietnamese, and a few basic cuisines. My first choice of calamari salad was sold out, so I opted for the octopus, and it was delicious.

There was a lot of construction under way -- just like in Seattle -- so I had to detour around closed streets several times. The old building seen beyond this park will probably not be standing much longer.
