Rain

It has rained virtually all day today. We usually have one day of rain when we come here in September, so we are just hoping that this was the one day.

We weren’t that worried though. We have a comfortable house and a pile of books to read. The joy of being able to sit and read, knowing that there is nothing more useful one should be doing.

We ventured out for a very short while this afternoon – in the car. Only to find the Post Office that we needed was closed, but one of our favourite bakers was open and we have bread and cakes, so that’s okay.

Here’s a view of Bonnieux in the mist and rain, seen across the vines. Of course I could have found a better position to be out of the way of at least some of the wires, but it was raining and I hastened back into the car.
